Manager, Community Legal Services, Holstep Health 

Steph has worked in the community legal sector for 15 years, principally practising in tenancy law with a focus on the rights of public and community housing renters. 

As Manager of Community Legal Services at Holstep Health, she leads West Heidelberg Community Legal and Social Security Rights Victoria. West Heidelberg Community Legal and Inner Melbourne Community Legal jointly deliver the Social Housing Legal Program which supports clients, community workers and lawyers to understand and navigate a changing social housing system.

Steph’s practice experience with renters underpins her advocacy, research and policy work on housing justice, including engagement with government, sector stakeholders and community organisations about issues affecting public and community housing renters. She is particularly interested in the intersection between housing insecurity, poverty and health inequity, and in developing service responses that combine legal assistance with broader social and health supports.
