What's included in the registration?
Conference registration includes access to all plenary, major concurrent and concurrent sessions, morning and afternoon tea and lunch each day, as well as the Welcome Reception end of day one (not included in Thursday only registration). You also have the option to purchase a ticket to the Networking Breakfast on Thursday.
Do you have concession registration?
Yes. Concession registration is available for anyone holding a Commonwealth Health Care Card, Pension Card or who is a full time student. People with Lived Experience who are contributing within the housing or homelessness sector as a non-employee may also access concession registration.
Are there any social events included in my registration?
There are two social events:
The Welcome Reception will take place at the end of the day on Wednesday 7 October. The Welcome Reception is included in any two-day conference registration and any Wednesday only registration.
The Networking Breakfast will be at 7am on Thursday 8 October. It is an additional cost which you can add on when purchasing your registration.
Are you taking abstracts?
The call for abstracts has now closed. If you have submitted an abstract, you will be notified of the outcome in March.
Do you have group discounts?
Bookings for three or more people attract a 10% discount off the registration fee. To access the discount, groups must be registered in the same single transaction – the discount will not be applied retrospectively. For further information, download our group booking instructions.
Is there a virtual registration option?
The 2026 conference is an in-person only event. Some sessions will be recorded and will be available for delegates to view after the conference. These will be made available publicly about three months after the conference on our YouTube channel.
Special requirements
If you have any special requirements, disability, and/or dietary restrictions that we may address to make your participation at our events more enjoyable, please do let us know when registering. If you did not include these details when registering, please email our events team at events@ahuri.edu.au as soon as possible to let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancellations received in writing (events@ahuri.edu.au) to AHURI before Sunday 27 September 2026 will be accepted and all fees refunded less an administrative fee of AUD $100. Read the full terms and conditions.
How do I activate my registration?
When you register you will be asked to complete your details at the time of purchase. Complete the details for the first attendee and repeat if purchasing more than one registration. If you don't know who will be attending just yet, tick the box at the top of the page for each person to complete later.
Is there a one-day registration?
Yes there is. You can select to attend either Wednesday or Thursday. Wednesday registration includes the Welcome Reception. There is no Early Bird Discount for one-day registrations.
When will I receive my ticket and other details?
You will receive an email from Australian Homelessness Conference with pre-arrival information including a link to the conference app the week prior to the conference. A separate email with your ticket will be emailed on Tuesday 6 October.
Is there a one-day concession registration?
No, the concession registration is for both days only.
Can my registration be used by multiple people?
No, only one person my attend per registration. You cannot share your registration with others.
How do I enter my details?
When you make your purchase you will be asked to complete details. If purchasing multiple registrations you complete the details for the first attendee and repeat for the others. If you don't know who will be attending just yet, tick the box at the top of the page for each person to complete later.
Can I volunteer at the conference?
Yes you can. We will be looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. Applications will open in July and further information will be available then.
Does everyone in my group booking have to be from the same organisation?
Group bookings can include people from different offices within the same organisation, or from different organisations, as long as it’s three or more booked at the one time to receive the discount.
Is there a conference dinner?
There is no conference dinner at the Australian Homelessness Conference 2026. An optional Networking Breakfast is available on Thursday 8 October at an additional cost. Add this to your transaction when purchasing your registration.
Can I transfer my registration?
Yes, you can transfer your registration to another person. The first transfer is free, any subsequent changes will incur a $100 admin fee. Read the full terms and conditions.
Will I be able to access the presentations?
You will be able to access the PowerPoint presentations for all sessions where they were used. These will be in the online platform that can be accessed by all delegates.
What if I don't feel well on the day?
If you don’t feel well on the day of, or the immediate days before the conference, please stay home. You may choose to transfer your registration to a colleague – please email events@ahuri.edu.au. Unfortunately no refunds will be issued after Sunday 27 September 2026.
Are we able to help promote the conference?
Absolutely! We're in the process of updating our Promote the Conference page where you can download images and text to help promote the Australian Homelessness Conference 2026 through your own channels.
