Sophie is a skilled leader with over 16 years of experience in Australia's homelessness sector.  She brings a deep understanding of systemic challenges and a strong commitment to social justice and ending homelessness. Her career spans service delivery, service development, and operational management, giving her a comprehensive perspective on both frontline needs and operational strategy.

She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors with qualifications spanning community services, governance, legal studies, and implementation. In her role as Senior National Homelessness Specialist at The Salvation Army, she supports leaders and services across Australia through practice guidance, strategic and service development, and governance oversight, all aimed at ensuring high quality accredited support for people facing or experiencing homelessness.

Sophie seeks to strengthen lived experience participation, systems integration, and service effectiveness through evidence informed approaches, collaboration and practice supports that meet people’s needs.
