Sam Barrett is an experienced professional with over 25 years’ experience in the operation, governance and leadership of for purpose organisations across Australia.

Sam’s work has focused on services to marginalised young people, people experiencing homelessness and mental health services. Sam has led the operationalisation of two of Australia’s Social Impact Bond projects; Aspire and Living Learning.

Since 2023 Sam has led Melbourne City Mission’s innovation project; The Youth Housing Initiative (YHI). YHI offers a unique set of supports including extended and multi-disciplinary care to young people experiencing complex barriers to independent living.
