Chair, Te Matapihi

Jordon Robertson, leads better housing outcomes for Māori, walking alongside his people in response to the housing crisis, guided by the belief that enduring solutions must come from within the community.
His leadership spans homelessness response to community housing development, where he brings together government agencies, community leaders, and those able to effect meaningful change, shaping a collective commitment to action.

His work seeks to reshape the housing continuum, so it reflects not only systems, but the lived realities, rights, and aspirations of people mostly affected by homelessness.

Grounded in cultural identity, he centres an indigenous response that restores balance and affirms belonging.

As Chair of Te Matapihi, the national Māori housing body, he has also helped to influence change at a national level, contributing to government policy that recognises the importance of Māori-led solutions across the full housing continuum throughout Aotearoa New Zealand
