Dr. James Miller (Kanaka ‘Ōiwi) is a co-director for MĀPIHI - the Māori and Pacific Housing Research Centre and Senior Lecturer in the School of Architecture and Planning at the University of Auckland. Dr. Miller has been investigating the role of Indigenous, place-based planning and design in building community resilience in Hawai’i, Coast Salish Territories, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
