Peer Leader, Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN)

Grant Higham is a long-standing member and peer leader with Queenslanders with Disability Network (QDN), bringing lived experience of homelessness and disability to his advocacy and community leadership. He has contributed to initiatives across the NDIS, housing, digital inclusion and health, supporting improved outcomes for people with disability. 

As a peer leader on the Getting on the Grid NDIS Participant Readiness Project, Grant has helped people facing additional disadvantage to build understanding, confidence and access to supports. As a QDN Housing Champion, he has co-designed the My Housing Options Toolkit, supporting informed housing choices. 

Grant has also contributed to health system improvements through the See Me, Hear Me, Respect Me campaign, helping raise awareness among thousands of Queensland health workers about respectful, inclusive, person-centred care.
