Ewan Higgs is the Housing Services Program Manager at Hobart City Mission, where he leads multiple housing and homelessness services across Southern Tasmania. With more than 20 years of experience working in housing and homelessness services across Australia, Ewan brings deep practical knowledge and a strong commitment to systems that deliver lasting change. 

At Hobart City Mission, Ewan has played a key role in establishing new housing and homelessness programs, including launching Tasmania’s first Safe Night Space in response to the growing number of people experiencing homelessness. His work is grounded in trauma informed practice, with a strong focus on dignity, safety, and long term housing outcomes.

Ewan is a Housing First trainer and actively uses this evidence based approach to guide program design and service delivery. He is passionate about sharing knowledge, promoting best practice, and supporting the workforce through education and learning.
