Project Lead, Sunshine Coast & Wide Bay Zero

Emma Christie is the Project Lead, Sunshine Coast & Wide Bay Zero, driving collaborative, data-informed approaches to reduce homelessness in regional Queensland. Funded by the Primary Health Network, the initiative applies a health equity lens to the national framework, influencing local health service design. Emma brings experience across community development, academia, and international contexts. She holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) and a Bachelor of Arts (Policy/International Studies), combining strong analytical and project leadership skills with a commitment to making systemic changes to achieve better health and housing outcomes for people currently experiencing homelessness in her community. Alongside her work with IFYS, she has contributed as a research assistant on the In Plain Sight report (2025) and co-authored an international relations chapter on open dialectical utopias (2026).
