Amanda Drummond
Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation
Team Lead, Community Pathways Program, Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation
Amanda Drummond is the Team Lead of the Community Pathways Programs at Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation, overseeing initiatives across housing support, driving access, and employment programs. She also leads the Housing Pathways Support Program, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Karratha to build stable and sustainable housing futures.
Originally from New Zealand, Amanda has lived in the Pilbara for the past seven years and has developed a strong understanding of the challenges surrounding employment and housing within regional towns, particularly those with a strong mining presence. After a brief stint in the mining industry, Amanda realised her strengths and values were better aligned with community-focused work (despite her wallet’s protests). She transitioned into employment services through the local TAFE before moving into her current role three years ago. Amanda is passionate about helping people overcome systemic barriers by building confidence, capacity, and realistic pathways for individuals and families.
