Gemma Pinnell is a Partner at Right Lane Consulting, where she leads the firm's Housing and Homelessness Practice, advising community housing providers, peak bodies and government on strategy, growth and stakeholder engagement. Her work is grounded in evidence: she has led research-informed strategy across the housing system nationally, translating data and policy analysis into practical outcomes. Her career spans senior roles at Industry Super Australia and the Australian Council of Trade Unions, and directorships including AustralianSuper and Open House Melbourne.
Gemma's commitment is personal as well as professional. Having left home at 16, she understands firsthand how precarious housing can shape a young person's trajectory — and how the right support at the right moment is critical. 
She holds a Master of Applied Communications with Distinction (RMIT) and a First Class Honours degree from Monash University.
