Linda Page
City of Launceston
Team Leader, Community Development, City of Launceston
Linda Page is the team leader for community development at the City of Launceston (Lutruwita/Tasmania).
Since in 2023, Linda and her team have worked to develop a dignity-first, people-centred approach to the Council's response to homelessness and the intersectional inequities experienced by our community members. Launceston's context offers both opportunity, and necessitates meaningful collaboration, with people with lived-experience and sectoral expertise, not-for profit organisations, government agencies and community to achieve collective action.
Linda is passionate about culturally responsive, regional and rural community participation, knowledge sharing and community-led capacity building. Over the last two decades she has worked with communities in rural, urban and nomadic contexts in Tasmania and Australia, and on development programs in the United Kingdom, Mongolia, Italy, South East Asia and Morocco internationally. In addition to her work with community Linda teaches with the College of Arts, Law and Education at the University of Tasmania.
